This is a 1st for my blog...I am not going to post my dinner tonight. I even took a picture
WHY....you ask?
I didn't like it. I have been really wanting spaghetti and meatballs so I tried to make my mom's recipe again. They are my most favorite meatballs and this is my 3rd go at it, and they just don't taste the same. Maybe I need to come up with my own recipe because this one just doesn't work for me. I was also going to make lasagna but I didn't have time. So basically, I fed my family but it wasn't up to blog standard.
It will be my goal in 2009-2010 to find the perfect recipe for Meatballs. I need to reach out to my inner Italian to show me the way....
AND as luck would have it, tomorrow's dinner I have already made once before so there might not be anything new to post.
You never know I might bake something, change my mind about what to make, or I do have some rotisserie chicken waiting to be made into soup.
Want any suggestions? I have some tasty meatball recipes at home I can give you to try. They might not be as good as your mom's, but they're worth a shot. By the way, can you email me your mom's meatball recipe? I honestly don't remember what my mom's meatballs tasted like, but I'm guessing they were similar, if not possibly the same, as your mom's. I always loved Bammy's meatballs too. I wish I knew exactly what she put in them.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was just a bad night for making dinner. The mac and cheese I made for dinner last night (or really as a side dish to the leftovers we were having for dinner) didn't come out the way it had in the past either.
